About this role
SpaceX seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to manage and optimize high-performance computing infrastructure, storage systems, and networking for the Raptor engine organization. You'll collaborate with propulsion engineers to eliminate performance bottlenecks and deploy specialized engineering software at scale to accelerate rocket engine development.
What you'll do
- Manage server infrastructure, HPC systems, storage, networks, and high-speed Infiniband interconnect
- Design, procure, and integrate large-scale infrastructure systems
- Identify and resolve critical performance bottlenecks with propulsion engineering teams
- Coordinate infrastructure and IT initiatives across the organization
- Deploy and optimize engineering applications (ANSYS, StarCCM+, manufacturing software) for peak system performance
