Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
Blockstream seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise customers, delivering production implementations of Bitcoin and Layer-2 products while writing code, building integrations, and feeding learnings back into core product development. You'll bridge customer needs and engineering, working onsite in banking environments to architect solutions, manage deployments, and drive adoption.
What you'll do
- Deploy and configure Blockstream enterprise products in on-premise, air-gapped banking environments under formal change control
- Design and implement integrations between Blockstream products and customer banking/capital-markets systems
- Support enterprise sales with technical pre-sales, RFP responses, and security questionnaires; scope SOWs and manage scope changes
- Develop AI-assisted prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate product value early, then harden into reusable playbooks
- Own implementation lifecycle from kickoff through production deployment and post-launch support, including UAT and user enablement
- Collaborate with engineering to resolve product issues and turn implementation insights into core product improvements
