AI Infrastructure Security Engineer

About this role

Brain Co., an applied AI startup, seeks a hands-on Security Infrastructure Engineer to build and secure end-to-end AI platform infrastructure. You'll design secure-by-default systems across cloud, Kubernetes, and identity layers while thinking ahead about AI-native security challenges, working as a true engineering partner alongside infrastructure and platform teams.

What you'll do

• Build security foundations including identity, isolation, secrets management, and access control across cloud and Kubernetes
• Harden infrastructure end-to-end from networking and service meshes to CI/CD and AI data pipelines
• Implement Zero Trust principles with machine identity, short-lived credentials, and least-privilege access
• Design secure execution environments and data access pathways for AI agents operating on the platform
• Conduct threat modeling across infrastructure layers and remediate risks before incidents occur
• Own security for forward-deployed customer environments with bespoke VPCs and unique attack surfaces

• Cloud security fundamentals (IAM, networking, KMS, secrets, isolation)
• Kubernetes and container security
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
• Linux systems administration
• Authentication, authorization, and secrets management
• Threat modeling and secure system design
• AWS, GCP, or Azure platform expertise
• CI/CD pipeline security
