AI Engineer, Ecosystem

About this role

Lead technical ownership of Brex's AI ecosystem integrations with third-party platforms like OpenAI and Claude. Design secure, production-grade systems that allow external assistants to interact with Brex's financial data and capabilities while maintaining reliability, auditability, and user trust.

What you'll do

• Own and roadmap Brex's MCP Apps across OpenAI, Claude, Slack, and other AI platforms
• Define technical, UX, and reliability standards for Brex integrations in external AI ecosystems
• Design secure integration patterns including permissions, access controls, and cross-boundary user actions
• Build and operate production integrations resilient to evolving platforms and unpredictable clients
• Partner cross-functionally with Security, Platform, Sales, and internal teams on integration quality
• Establish reusable AI capability standards and shared components for internal and external use
