Full Stack / Backend Software Engineer

About this role

candidate.fyi is seeking a backend-focused full stack engineer to build AI-powered recruiting infrastructure including scheduling engines, autonomous agents, and ATS integrations. You'll work directly with the founding team on Python/Django services, own features end-to-end, and engage with enterprise customers to shape the product roadmap.

What you'll do

• Build and scale backend services in Python and Django for scheduling, coordination, and AI agent infrastructure
• Design autonomous agents that handle recruiting workflows with minimal human intervention
• Design and maintain APIs integrating with enterprise ATS systems and React frontend
• Ship LLM-powered features using AI coding tools like Cursor
• Optimize PostgreSQL database performance for complex scheduling logic
• Engage directly with customers to understand pain points and validate solutions
