About this role

CesiumAstro seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer II to develop communication systems for satellites and aerospace platforms. You'll work across the full software lifecycle using embedded Linux and Yocto, collaborating with hardware and FPGA teams on cutting-edge space technology.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain embedded Linux software using Yocto build system
  • Design and implement device drivers, kernel customization, and bootloaders
  • Perform board bring-up and hardware integration activities
  • Contribute to architecture design and implementation across product lifecycle
  • Conduct testing, qualification, and in-orbit support
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineering teams
