About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a New Product Introduction Engineer to lead the transition of aerial drone systems from design to production. You'll own initial vehicle builds, oversee testing, manage supply chain for low-rate production, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to scale products efficiently.

What you'll do

  • Own initial vehicle builds including development and flight test hardware with technician oversight
  • Manage early inventory stocking and low-rate supply chain coordination
  • Resolve development testing failures and incorporate fixes into product design before production
  • Plan low-rate production space and manufacturing layout
  • Provide DFX feedback to design engineers to reduce build time and quality issues
  • Hand off mature, scaled products to full-rate production organization

  • Mechanical design and CAD (Solidworks, NX preferred)
  • Manufacturing and assembly methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, PCBA)
  • Hands-on prototyping and shop skills (welding, soldering, machining)
  • GD&T and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing
  • Design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA)
  • Technical leadership and project management
  • Flight hardware qualification and testing
  • Engineering drawings to industry standards
