About this role
Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Quality Engineer for night and weekend shifts to ensure manufacturing excellence in HTS Magnet production and the SPARC fusion project. You'll monitor process stability, investigate defects, manage non-conformance reports, and partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve complex fabrication challenges on the production floor.
What you'll do
- Oversee manufacturing process quality for HTS Magnet production and SPARC Project during off-shift hours
- Monitor process health and stability on the production floor in real-time
- Lead root cause investigations and manage Non-Conformance Report (NCR) workflow end-to-end
- Implement robust process controls and risk-informed corrective actions
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve complex fabrication challenges
- Ensure manufacturing processes yield reliable, first-of-a-kind hardware
