Join the power movement as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, innovative, and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality across the production line. You will be the magnet owner, holding overall accountability for this shift. This role involves close collaboration with design engineers, production staff, quality assurance, and supply chain teams.

What you'll do:

• Develop, implement, and qualify manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and production rate targets
• Lead the design and procurement of tools, fixtures, and equipment required for efficient production
• Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for first shift production operations
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated manufacturing assembly issues
• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and operation sequencing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, safety, and production management, to address shift handoffs and non-conf
• Implement root cause corrective actions (RCCA) for quality non-conformances and process bottlenecks
• Lead process optimization projects to improve safety, yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role supporting high-precision or complex hardware assembly
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment and tooling on the production floor
• Demonstrated experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) frameworks and continuous improvement tools (Lean/Six Signa)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, CAD modeling (SolidWorks, NX), and drawing interpretation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across shift transfers

Bonus points for:

• Experience with high-field superconducting magnets, vacuum systems, or cryogenic hardware
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP and MES software (e.g., SAP, Tulip, Solumina)
• Experience working a dedicated shift schedule in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC) and DOE methodologies

Must-have requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Perform activities such as typing, standing, stooping, and sitting, for extended periods of time
• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
• Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call
