Security Engineer
About this role
Chainguard seeks a Security Engineer to join its Cyber Resiliency team, designing and deploying technical controls to detect and prevent security incidents. You'll engineer detection logic, automate threat response with SOAR and AI-driven playbooks, conduct threat hunts, and collaborate across the organization to strengthen security posture in a cloud-native environment.
What you'll do
- Design, deploy, and optimize technical controls for incident detection and prevention
- Engineer custom detection logic and integrate threat intelligence into security operations
- Build and automate security playbooks using SOAR platforms and agentic AI systems
- Lead incident response efforts and facilitate tabletop exercises
- Conduct threat hunts across forensic data lakes to identify adversary activity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices into products and processes
