AI Engineer

About this role

Cinder is hiring an AI Engineer to architect and deploy production-scale machine learning systems for their platform that protects internet safety. You'll own the complete lifecycle of LLM implementations—from data preparation through production deployment—while building infrastructure that serves thousands of requests per second for high-profile clients like OpenAI and Midjourney.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end LLM implementation from data prep and fine-tuning to evaluation and production deployment
• Develop automated evaluation frameworks to assess model accuracy and identify edge cases
• Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput cloud-based AI systems handling thousands of requests per second
• Build foundational ML infrastructure including model serving, monitoring, and deployment pipelines
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI as a core product capability
• Shape AI roadmap by evaluating emerging techniques and making pragmatic adoption decisions

What they're looking for

• 5-7+ years of software engineering with hands-on LLM and agent applications
• Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• LLM engineering patterns: RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, fine-tuning
• MLOps fundamentals: CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, observability
• AWS cloud architecture and Terraform infrastructure automation
• Experience taking models from research to production at scale
• Agentic frameworks like LangChain (preferred)
• High-growth startup ML infrastructure experience
