About this role
Clarity Innovations seeks a Junior Reverse Engineering/Vulnerability Research Engineer to discover and exploit security weaknesses across multiple systems for national security missions. You'll conduct static and dynamic analysis, develop exploits, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while working alongside experienced security researchers.
What you'll do
- Perform vulnerability research and reverse engineering on customer systems and applications
- Execute static and dynamic analysis using disassemblers, debuggers, and fuzzers
- Develop working exploits that demonstrate discovered vulnerabilities
- Document and communicate security research findings to internal teams and external partners
- Mentor and collaborate with junior security researchers on the team
What they're looking for
- Reverse engineering tools (Ghidra, Binary Ninja, IDA)
- Static and dynamic binary analysis
- C and assembly language (ARM, MIPS, x86_64)
- Linux kernel and system fundamentals
- Exploitation techniques (ROP, shellcoding, arbitrary read-write primitives)
- Android and Chrome browser exploit development
- Debugging with gdb/gdbserver
- Networking and low-level programming concepts
