Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
Early-stage healthtech AI company seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own integrations between their payer intelligence platform and real-world provider and insurance systems. You'll bridge product and clients, building and maintaining APIs, scrapers, and RPA solutions while developing deep domain knowledge in procedure-heavy medical specialties.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, scrapers, and RPA
- Participate in client discovery sessions to map workflows and translate them into technical requirements
- Ship custom integrations quickly and iterate based on real-world feedback from live deployments
- Contribute to core product development when integration work isn't the primary constraint
- Develop working knowledge of the US provider/payer landscape and healthcare systems
- Communicate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

- Python and FastAPI (or equivalent backend frameworks)
- React and TypeScript (or equivalent frontend)
- Third-party API integration
- Web scraping and RPA tools
- AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
- AWS or GCP infrastructure
- Full-stack development
- Production LLM application development
