Founding Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
About this role
A founding infrastructure engineer role at an early-stage enterprise AI startup where you'll design and build cloud infrastructure from scratch for a semantic platform serving regulated industries. You'll own full-stack architectural decisions and establish foundational practices that will shape the company's scalability.
What you'll do
- Design and build production cloud infrastructure for an enterprise-grade semantic AI platform from the ground up
- Own the complete infrastructure lifecycle including architecture, deployment, scaling, and operations
- Establish foundational best practices, standards, and tooling in a greenfield environment
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation systems
- Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration in production
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, observability, logging, security, and access control systems

- Cloud infrastructure design and deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)
- Kubernetes and container orchestration
- CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation
- Observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog)
- Database architecture (relational and NoSQL systems)
- Networking, security, and access control implementation
- Data infrastructure and ML platform systems (preferred)
