About this role
Varda seeks a Build Reliability Engineer II to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware production, ensuring processes yield verified and reliable components at scale. You'll lead failure investigations, manage non-conforming product, and support quality assurance across vehicle development and operations.
What you'll do
- Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft vehicle hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
- Manage non-conforming product and provide guidance to quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers on containment actions
- Lead failure investigations in production, test, and operations to identify root causes and improve design and process reliability
- Provide critical peer review of hardware during design reviews and acceptance/qualification test campaigns
- Support quality, flight reliability, and mission assurance functions as needed
