About this role

Join a Seed-stage AI-native B2B SaaS startup as the founding design engineer to establish and maintain a cohesive design system and frontend standards. You'll own the component library, design tokens, and patterns that ensure both human-written and AI-generated code ship with consistent polish and quality.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end design system: tokens, shadcn/ui component library, and Tailwind conventions
  • Define frontend patterns using React Query, React Hook Form, and Zod to enforce coherence in agent-generated pull requests
  • Translate design intent into code abstractions, lint rules, and tokens to maintain visual and interaction consistency
  • Enforce WCAG accessibility standards and integrate brand guidelines directly into the codebase
  • Audit and own frontend tooling including Biome, Playwright E2E testing, and performance optimization
  • Guide AI coding tools integration and act as quality bar-raiser for all frontend UX across the company
