About this role
Rocket Lab seeks an experienced Avionics Test and Launch Engineer II to develop, integrate, and test electrical and avionics systems for Electron and Neutron launch vehicles at Wallops Island. This role involves overseeing system checkout, leading testing projects, mentoring team members, and authoring operational procedures for ground and vehicle hardware.
What you'll do
- Develop, integrate, and test avionics and electrical systems for Electron and Neutron launch vehicles
- Oversee configuration and checkout of avionics systems
- Lead and manage testing projects for avionics and electrical systems
- Mentor and train Integrated Operations team members on avionics and electrical systems
- Develop Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for electrical hardware
- Author, review, and execute operations procedures
