About this role

Founding engineer role at an AI developer tooling startup, responsible for building end-to-end infrastructure that detects and automatically fixes failures in engineering workflows. You'll own the technical architecture and set engineering culture standards while working directly with customers in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

What you'll do

  • Ship full-stack features across data ingestion, detection, patch generation, verification, and product interfaces
  • Own the trust and safety layer including reproduction logic, guardrails, and PR validation systems
  • Move independently from customer problems to shipped solutions with minimal process overhead
  • Engage directly with customers to understand production failures and surface issues proactively
  • Make architectural decisions on schema design, service boundaries, and system tradeoffs
  • Define engineering culture including testing standards, on-call practices, and release criteria
