About this role

Join an early-stage consumer AI company as a founding engineer to build full-stack conversational AI products with real-time video and audio capabilities. You'll work directly with the founder to shape the product, engineering culture, and team from the ground up in a rare 1-of-1 seat.

What you'll do

  • Build full-stack features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure for conversational AI experiences
  • Design and implement memory, retrieval, and proactivity systems to enhance AI responsiveness
  • Integrate and optimize real-time video generation and audio synthesis models
  • Set engineering quality standards and actively recruit talent as the team grows
  • Deeply dogfood the product and translate insights into meaningful improvements
  • Collaborate closely with founder, design, and engineering team on product direction

  • Full-stack web development (frontend and backend)
  • Python, including typed scientific Python
  • Computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design)
  • Production system design and implementation
