Product Engineer (Software Engineer)
About this role
Join a fast-growing consumer fintech company as a full-stack product engineer shipping high-impact features for earned wage access and credit-building tools. You'll own features end-to-end across backend systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures while working closely with product and business teams in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Build end-to-end product features including domain models, business logic, and API integrations
- Drive data-informed releases toward product milestones with rapid iteration
- Analyze product and system performance using SQL and analytics tooling
- Debug and test complex state machines in event-driven, pub/sub backend systems
- Ship to production daily via CI/CD pipeline and respond to production incidents
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business leaders

- Backend development (3+ years production experience)
- RESTful API design and consumption
- Event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization
- CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

- System design and computer science fundamentals
