Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

Join Collate's Forward Deployed Engineering team to build and deploy production AI systems for life sciences customers tackling critical document and regulatory workflows. As an early team member, you'll work autonomously with Fortune 100 organizations to identify deep problems, develop scalable solutions, and shape the platform's future direction across the industry.

What you'll do

• Deploy and optimize AI systems in production environments for life sciences customers
• Partner with medical writers, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations teams to identify and solve critical workflow problems
• Develop repeatable solution patterns and evaluation standards for agentic AI architectures
• Bridge customer deployment needs with core platform development to influence product direction
• Design and implement production-grade systems handling complex document and regulatory processes
• Operate with founder-level autonomy on high-impact, strategic customer engagements

• Backend development (Go preferred)
• Full-stack development (TypeScript/React, Python)
• AI/ML systems and LLM integration
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Data systems (Postgres, Kafka, OpenSearch)
• Customer problem-solving and deep technical partnership
• System design and scalability
• Regulatory or life sciences domain knowledge (preferred)
