About this role

Build and deploy AI-powered applications to secure, classified environments as a DevOps Engineer supporting mission-critical infrastructure. You'll manage containerization, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and system accreditation while working on a small technical team in Washington, DC with an active DoD security clearance.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain multi-environment system architecture supporting AI models, backend APIs, and frontend applications
  • Deploy software to classified customer networks, including on-site installation and configuration work
  • Write and optimize Dockerfiles to create secure, hardened images with minimal vulnerabilities
  • Develop and improve Helm charts for multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Enhance GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for reliable application and dependency updates
  • Enable compliance with security standards including FedRAMP, IL5, IL6, and NIST 800-53
