L1 Lighting Engineer, Live Events (part-time)

About this role

Convene Hospitality Group seeks an experienced L1 Lighting Engineer to operate and manage lighting systems for live events across their Manhattan venues. You'll handle equipment setup, troubleshooting, and quality management while collaborating with production teams to deliver exceptional experiences for high-profile clients.

What you'll do

• Set up, test, and operate lighting equipment including fixtures, consoles, and DMX systems for live events
• Ensure optimal lighting quality by adjusting levels, programming cues, and monitoring parameters throughout events
• Troubleshoot technical issues including DMX addressing problems to minimize event disruptions
• Maintain and inspect lighting equipment regularly to ensure proper working condition
• Collaborate with event coordinators and production teams to understand and execute lighting requirements
• Document lighting setups, configurations, and equipment inventory accurately
