Conversion, an AI-powered marketing automation platform backed by $28M+ in funding, seeks a Backend Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain the reliable, scalable systems that power their platform. You'll work on critical infrastructure handling terabytes of data syncs, complex workflows, and millions of emails, focusing on enabling product engineers to ship faster and more reliably.

What you'll do

  • Design and operate cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling on GCP
  • Build and maintain platform systems that support high-scale data streaming and job execution
  • Enable product engineers through improved developer tooling and internal platforms
  • Manage and optimize databases including PostgreSQL and ClickHouse for performance and reliability
  • Balance infrastructure improvements with startup pragmatism and product delivery needs
  • Support systems handling mission-critical go-to-market processes and revenue-generating workflows
