About this role

Crusoe is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the technical design of large-scale data center power systems, bridging internal teams and external partners. You'll advance projects from concept through construction-ready specifications, ensuring safety, compliance, and rapid execution for AI infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Design and specify critical power distribution equipment including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and protection controls
  • Perform system studies including short-circuit, load flow, arc-flash, and dynamic transient analysis
  • Lead design development from conceptual phase through construction-ready documentation
  • Review consultant-prepared drawings and specifications for compliance with project standards
  • Support field engineering during construction with RFI resolution and design clarifications
  • Participate in factory witness testing for complex electrical equipment

  • AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and SKM proficiency
  • National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA/IEEE standards expertise
  • Electrical system calculations and analysis
  • Project management and cross-functional coordination
  • Technical communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (preferred)
