About this role
Crusoe is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the technical design of large-scale data center power systems, bridging internal teams and external partners. You'll advance projects from concept through construction-ready specifications, ensuring safety, compliance, and rapid execution for AI infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Design and specify critical power distribution equipment including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and protection controls
- Perform system studies including short-circuit, load flow, arc-flash, and dynamic transient analysis
- Lead design development from conceptual phase through construction-ready documentation
- Review consultant-prepared drawings and specifications for compliance with project standards
- Support field engineering during construction with RFI resolution and design clarifications
- Participate in factory witness testing for complex electrical equipment

- Electrical power distribution design for data centers
- AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and SKM proficiency
- National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA/IEEE standards expertise
- Electrical system calculations and analysis
- Project management and cross-functional coordination
- Technical communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (preferred)
