About this role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Hazardous Waste Processing Specialist to serve as the critical compliance gateway for our facility. Once our transport drivers collect and return hazardous waste to the site, you will be responsible for weighing materials into our tracking system, meticulously matching physical inventory to inbound manifests, and ensuring 100% regulatory compliance before prepping the waste for outbound shipment. This position requires strong computer literacy, exceptional attention to detail, and the critical thinking skills necessary to resolve shipping paperwork discrepancies independently. We are willing to train the right candidate who possesses strong foundational administrative and organizational skills. 925 Conroy Pl, Easton, PA 18040 Check this out on our YouTube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA8D9kxfNtI

What will your job involve?

  • Inbound Inspection & Weighing: Receive hazardous waste loads brought back by field drivers, safely weigh all containers, and log exact physical inventory data directly into our database.
  • Documentation Verification: Cross-reference and compare inbound receiving manifests against physical inventory, container counts, and accompanying paperwork to guarantee absolute accuracy.
  • Label Matching & Compliance: Inspect, verify, and apply compliant hazardous waste labels and DOT placards to the corresponding containers based on manifest profiles and chemical descriptions.
  • Outbound Shipment Preparation: Systematically organize, stage, and secure hazardous waste containers to ensure they are fully prepared for safe, compliant outbound transport.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Apply critical thinking to flag and independently troubleshoot data or paperwork mismatches between driver records and physical inventory.
  • Safety Adherence: Maintain a highly organized, clean, and compliant workspace while strictly adhering to facility safety protocols, EPA, and DOT regulations.

What are we looking for?

  • Physical Requirements

  • Lifting & Moving: Must be able to routinely lift, push, pull, and maneuver equipment or containers weighing up to 50 lbs independently.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods on a warehouse/processing floor.
  • Equipment Operations: Ability to safely operate and manipulate industrial warehouse tools, such as drum jacks and heavy-duty floor scales.
  • PPE Compliance: Comfortable wearing standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by safety protocols throughout the shift.
  • Qualifications and Skills

  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional focus and a proven track record of catching minor data or paperwork mismatches in a high-stakes environment.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient with inventory management software, database entry, and standard workplace computer applications.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to confidently pause processes, evaluate data logic, and resolve inventory or regulatory paperwork anomalies.
  • Self-Motivated: Strong internal drive to efficiently manage the daily influx of driver-returned loads with minimal direct supervision.
