Network Engineer

About this role

Lead Network Engineer role at CISA responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure enterprise network infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. The position requires advanced technical expertise, leadership in network modernization initiatives, and compliance with DHS security standards.

What you'll do

• Design and engineer enterprise network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, DNS, wireless, and cloud networking solutions
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and expert technical guidance for complex network incidents
• Implement network security controls and ensure compliance with DHS policies and NIST standards
• Develop and execute testing plans for hardware, software, and network solutions prior to production deployment
• Support cloud connectivity deployment including hybrid and multi-cloud architecture implementations
• Manage network change requests, configuration management, and coordinate stakeholder approvals
