Senior Test Engineer - AETC

Description

DSA Inc. is seeking a qualified Test Engineer, in a remote position. The selected candidate will join DSA's test team sustaining the GTIMS Program. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing manual and automated tests, reviewing and analyzing test results, identifying defects/bugs, communicating with the architect, software engineers and support team, re-testing and verifying defects/bugs are fixed, and assisting in various other phases of the development lifecycle when needed. Position may require weekend and nighttime hours (<5% time).

Required Qualifications

• Active or Current DoD Secret Clearance
• 4+ years of software/test engineering experience, or 2+ years development team experience and 2+ years automated testing experience
• Experience in the application of various formal and documented testing methods and tools
• Experience with configuring performance tests (environments and load generation)
• Familiarity with Agile development processes including working in sprints, planning, estimation, prioritization, scoping, and demoing
• Familiarity with SQL, including the ability to write, modify, and execute SQL queries to support the test process and test data validation
• Demonstrated experience using a modern ticket management system
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory direction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Active Security+ Certification

Desired Qualifications

• Strong preference for current knowledge of G/TIMS program
• Current knowledge of Air Force Network Environments
• Experience with DoD System Development
• Experience working with Agile teams
• Testing certification (ex. ITSQB)

Key Responsibilities

Acts as one of the system testing resources for the system, including:

• Designing and implementing manual and automated tests, including data staging.
• Reviewing and analyzing test results
• Identifying and documenting defects/bugs to team standard
• Communicating issues with the architect, software engineers and support team
• Assisting in various other phases of the development lifecycle including local software deployment for testing
• Providing customer demonstrations during Government Acceptance Testing events
• Must be detail oriented and work well with a remote team
• Other duties as assigned

The posted salary range is a good-faith estimate. Actual compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.

DSA - Salary Pay Range$90,000—$110,000 USD
