Platform Engineer
About this role
A U.S. citizen Platform Engineer is needed to design, automate, and maintain production Kubernetes environments for a government contractor. You'll bridge application development and infrastructure, working with cloud-native technologies while ensuring security and best practices across the platform.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes-based production environments with Infrastructure-as-Code automation
- Validate solutions and implementations against business requirements and technical specifications
- Independently identify and solve platform-level technical problems with minimal guidance
- Facilitate communication and integration between application teams and the platform infrastructure team
- Provide accurate time estimates for medium-complexity tasks and contribute to project planning
- Ensure DevSecOps practices and security automation are embedded in platform operations
