Manufacturing Process & Equipment Engineer
About this role
Divergent seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Process & Equipment Engineer to help transition advanced Laser Powder Bed Fusion production equipment from development into high-volume manufacturing for aerospace and automotive applications. You'll troubleshoot equipment issues, improve reliability and OEE, and develop engineering standards that scale across the manufacturing fleet.
What you'll do
- Support transition of newly developed L-PBF production equipment from qualification into sustained manufacturing
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, throughput, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Troubleshoot equipment problems at the machine level and develop solutions
- Transform individual machine solutions into engineering standards for fleet-wide deployment
- Collaborate across equipment engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations teams
- Take technical responsibility for assigned production equipment post-qualification
