About this role

Divergent seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Process & Equipment Engineer to help transition advanced Laser Powder Bed Fusion production equipment from development into high-volume manufacturing for aerospace and automotive applications. You'll troubleshoot equipment issues, improve reliability and OEE, and develop engineering standards that scale across the manufacturing fleet.

What you'll do

  • Support transition of newly developed L-PBF production equipment from qualification into sustained manufacturing
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability, throughput, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems at the machine level and develop solutions
  • Transform individual machine solutions into engineering standards for fleet-wide deployment
  • Collaborate across equipment engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations teams
  • Take technical responsibility for assigned production equipment post-qualification
