Platform Engineer, C/FICCO

About this role

DRW, a diversified trading firm, seeks a Platform Engineer to support Cumberland and FICCO's trading operations in Chicago. You'll lead the deployment, observability, and scaling of mission-critical systems while automating infrastructure provisioning and enhancing CI/CD practices.

What you'll do

• Standardize and improve deployment patterns across containerized and non-containerized workloads
• Build self-service infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/Terragrunt and Ansible
• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to reduce noise and enable proactive capacity management
• Research and implement technologies for container orchestration and system visibility
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve trade-critical issues and drive automation opportunities
• Maintain system security through patching, compliance, and security standards enforcement

• Prometheus and Grafana monitoring/observability
• Python scripting and automation
• Ansible and Terraform/Terragrunt infrastructure-as-code
• Linux systems administration

• TLS and network protocols (multicast, WebSockets)
