Embedded Hardware Engineer
About this role
Efficient seeks an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer to design PCBs and develop system software for ultra-low-power processors. You'll create evaluation kits, perform silicon bring-up, develop firmware and SDKs, and support customers in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop PCB boards for test hardware and customer evaluation kits
- Perform board bring-up and first-silicon checkout activities
- Develop boot ROM, firmware, and low-level SDK for processors
- Execute pre-silicon validation using RTL simulators and FPGA emulators
- Manage PCBA vendor relationships and coordinate hardware manufacturing
- Support customers with board design reviews and technical guidance

- Embedded platforms (MSP430, STM32, Ambiq Apollo, PIC32, or similar)

- Computer architecture knowledge (desired)
