About this role
ExtraHop seeks a Software Engineer III to develop AI/ML-powered features for their network detection and response platform. You'll build scalable backend systems in Python and Go, integrate machine learning models into production, and collaborate with data scientists and security experts to stop cyber threats in real time.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain software components supporting AI/ML models, agentic processes, and data pipelines
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve algorithms used in behavioral detection models
- Collaborate with data scientists and threat researchers to integrate ML features into product architecture
- Implement features and technical improvements with ownership and limited senior guidance
- Write clean, maintainable code adhering to engineering standards and best practices
- Identify and address technical debt to improve codebase and technical stack
