What you'll do

  • Develop demand forecasting and load management tools for utility systems across existing and new plants
  • Establish design standards for plant utilities systems and ensure compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations
  • Lead construction phases and collaborate on commissioning, FAT/SAT protocols, and staff training
  • Provide technical support for utilities procurement and serve as decision-maker in vendor selection and contract negotiation
  • Troubleshoot complex processing and mechanical problems to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Oversee mechanical and utility design for new lines and plants, maintaining comprehensive documentation

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
  • 5+ years utilities design, operations, and construction experience in dairy/beverage/chemical industries
  • Data analysis and process modeling using Microsoft Excel
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting of utilities systems
  • Process and utility modeling software (Aspen, SuperPro, or equivalent)
  • Project management and vendor selection
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
