Firmware Engineer

About this role

Figure, an AI Robotics company, is seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for their humanoid robot, Figure 02. This role requires in-office collaboration in San Jose and focuses on constructing critical components like motor controllers and battery management systems.

What you'll do

• Design and implement firmware in C/C++ for humanoid components
• Create strategies for code reuse across hardware platforms
• Develop Python tools for test automation and calibration
• Enhance CI/CD infrastructure
• Assist with hardware/software integration

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
• Proficient in C, C++, Python, and Linux
• Experience with low-level software on bare-metal and RTOS
• Knowledge of computer architecture
• Understanding of communication protocols like Ethernet and CAN
• Familiarity with lab instruments and debugging tools

Benefits
