Mechanical Engineer - Hands

About this role

Figure, an AI robotics company developing humanoid robots, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and production of complex hand mechanical modules. The role involves owning components from concept through manufacturing, with emphasis on CAD design, testing, validation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced robotics environment.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies in 3D CAD meeting structural, durability, and manufacturability requirements
• Create 2D drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards and perform tolerance stack-ups
• Prototype, build, and test components to validate performance and reliability
• Lead testing and validation efforts at component, module, and system levels
• Collaborate with electrical and systems integration teams on electromechanical designs
• Partner with manufacturers and quality teams to drive designs through production and support FA/CA for complex issues

Benefits

• Competitive base salary range $120,000-$250,000 annually
