Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management and Automation
About this role
Figure, an AI Robotics company building humanoid robots, seeks a Security Engineer to design and automate vulnerability management across enterprise and cloud infrastructure. The role involves implementing security controls, triaging vulnerabilities, and providing security guidance across the organization in a full-time, in-office position in San Jose.
What you'll do
- Develop security systems and tools to improve enterprise infrastructure posture across client platforms, corporate networks, and SaaS environments
- Build and manage automation for vulnerability discovery, prioritization, and remediation
- Identify, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in cloud and backend services
- Design and implement security controls for backend services and cloud infrastructure
- Provide security guidance company-wide for infrastructure systems, account lifecycle, and fleet management
- Define operational security duties including reviews, consulting, on-call support, and process improvements

- Enterprise security domains (Zero Trust, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, DLP, Cryptography, SaaS Security)
- Federated authentication/authorization (SAML, SCIM, OPA, OIDC)
- Network security mechanisms (mTLS, 802.1X, SSH, DNSSEC, VPN)
- Multi-cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Software engineering in C/C++, Rust, Golang, or Python
- Operating system internals and hardening (macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS)
- Detection and response security tools and processes
- Identity and access management
