About this role
Flexport seeks a Software Engineer II to build a new rates platform and self-serve freight booking system, moving the company toward a tech-driven model. You'll own full-stack features spanning databases, backend services, and React frontends while integrating AI automation into pricing and booking workflows for a global supply chain platform.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices powering rate visibility and autonomous booking systems
- Own complete feature lifecycle from database schema to backend APIs and React frontend applications
- Integrate AI models and automated workflows into pricing and booking experiences
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to solve complex business problems
- Maintain code quality through reviews, mentoring, and implementing monitoring practices
- Rapidly ship production-ready features with CI/CD best practices
