About this role
Fluidstack is seeking a Controls Field Engineer to serve as the on-site controls engineering lead for rapid data center deployments across multiple gigawatt-scale projects. You'll verify installations, conduct daily walkthroughs of panels and wiring, resolve integration issues in real-time, and maintain accurate field point documentation to support the company's mission of building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Serve as on-site controls engineering presence, verifying installations and resolving integration issues at the workface
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of control panels, wiring, and instruments against design specifications
- Support point-to-point testing and functional commissioning, resolving discrepancies same-day
- Maintain field points database with all changes documented and deviations dispositioned
- Hold integrators to quality standards at the panel level rather than in post-installation meetings
- Troubleshoot methodically from field devices through to head-end systems
