About this role

Formic seeks a Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical pre-sales partner for robotics-as-a-service automation solutions. You'll partner with prospective customers to understand production challenges, design scoped automation solutions, and ensure successful handoffs to deployment teams.

What you'll do

  • Conduct technical discovery with prospective customers to understand production goals, constraints, and automation requirements
  • Design and scope robotic automation solutions using Formic's modular portfolio based on customer needs
  • Analyze production data, CAD files, and process details to build accurate scopes of work and cost estimates
  • Lead technical meetings and design reviews with customers and cross-functional stakeholders throughout pre-sales
  • Drive clean handoffs from Sales to Deployment by documenting requirements, assumptions, and technical specifications
  • Visit customer sites to support discovery, validation, and solution scoping activities
