Solutions Engineer (Application Engineer): End-of-Line Automation
About this role
Formic seeks a Solutions Engineer to serve as the primary technical pre-sales partner for robotics-as-a-service automation solutions. You'll partner with prospective customers to understand production challenges, design scoped automation solutions, and ensure successful handoffs to deployment teams.
What you'll do
- Conduct technical discovery with prospective customers to understand production goals, constraints, and automation requirements
- Design and scope robotic automation solutions using Formic's modular portfolio based on customer needs
- Analyze production data, CAD files, and process details to build accurate scopes of work and cost estimates
- Lead technical meetings and design reviews with customers and cross-functional stakeholders throughout pre-sales
- Drive clean handoffs from Sales to Deployment by documenting requirements, assumptions, and technical specifications
- Visit customer sites to support discovery, validation, and solution scoping activities
