About this role
General Matter seeks an Electrical I&C Engineer to design and implement electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems for a new uranium enrichment facility and R&D prototypes in Los Angeles. You'll handle control panel design, PLC automation, and facility-scale electrical infrastructure across the full project lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Design and test electrical and controls systems for facilities, prototypes, and R&D applications
- Create control panel schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout documentation using electrical CAD tools
- Design PLC-based automation systems including instrumentation, field devices, and control architectures
- Design AC power systems and facility electrical infrastructure including UPS, generators, and backup power distribution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical, mechanical, process, and software systems
- Support testing, commissioning, and ongoing system improvements
