About this role

Gotion Inc., an electric vehicle battery manufacturer, is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for a 10-week summer position (June-August 2026) at their Manteno, Illinois facility. The intern will support manufacturing engineering teams in process optimization, equipment ramp-up, quality control, and production troubleshooting while gaining hands-on exposure to lithium battery manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

  • Assist in evaluating process flows, equipment selection, and technical documentation for production lines
  • Support production trial runs, equipment installation, debugging, and early-stage ramp-up activities
  • Compile, update, and review process documentation including flowcharts and work instructions
  • Help identify and resolve on-site process issues under senior engineer guidance
  • Track quality issues and maintain documentation to prevent recurrence
  • Support process experiments with data collection, analysis, and report preparation
