About this role

Graphcore seeks a Staff Hardware Engineer to lead troubleshooting and validation of Arm-based AI compute platforms across lab and data center environments. You'll support hardware bring-up, diagnose complex system failures, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliability of next-generation AI infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Lead advanced break-fix troubleshooting for server blades, motherboards, power systems, and rack-scale infrastructure
  • Support engineering bring-up activities including component validation and firmware interaction testing
  • Diagnose system-level failures involving thermal behavior, power anomalies, network configuration, and BIOS/BMC issues
  • Perform root cause analysis with server engineering teams and propose design improvements
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and validation documentation
  • Provide mentorship to junior technicians on troubleshooting methodologies and hardware diagnostics
