About this role
GuidePoint Security seeks a Cloud Security Engineer to evaluate, design, and implement cloud security architectures for federal government and intelligence community clients. You'll combine technical expertise in cloud platforms with security frameworks like RMF to help organizations assess compliance, mitigate risk, and deploy secure infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Evaluate and validate IT systems against Information Assurance and security requirements using Risk Management Framework processes
- Design and implement cloud security architectures, tools, and processes for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Develop and review security documentation including system security plans, contingency plans, and continuity of operations plans
- Conduct security architecture evaluations and provide guidance on remediation and best practices
- Assess software assurance practices and recommend cloud-native and COTS/GOTS tools to address security gaps
- Collaborate with federal clients in Agile environments to ensure security standards compliance
