CNC Controls Engineer
About this role
Hadrian seeks a Controls Engineer to develop automation solutions for CNC machines, focusing on probing validation, calibration, tool measurement, and process control. You'll collaborate across teams to scale machining capabilities across multiple U.S. factories.
What you'll do
- Develop universal controller interfaces for CNC machine interoperability
- Design spindle probing systems for inspection and in-process control
- Create integrated CMM-to-CNC feedback loops for measurement and control
- Build operator enablement systems that simplify advanced machine control
- Engineer processes that expand on-machine capabilities with cross-functional teams
- Support multi-factory scaling of machining automation solutions

- Macro programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain)
- CNC machine operation and setup
- Python and software development principles
- Version control (GitHub) and testing
- Machining knowledge (mills, lathes, materials, tooling)
- Technical communication (written and verbal)
- PLC programming (preferred)
- System and mechanical design (preferred)
