About this role
Hadrian seeks an EHS Engineer to embed safety into advanced manufacturing R&D operations, including welding, additive manufacturing, casting, and forging. You'll proactively identify hazards in novel processes, develop controls and procedures, and partner with engineering teams to ensure safety is designed in from the start.
What you'll do
- Identify and assess hazards for emerging manufacturing processes including welding, additive manufacturing, casting, and forging
- Develop engineering controls, procedures, and PPE programs tailored to specific process hazard profiles
- Partner with R&D engineers to integrate safety by design into new process development and equipment commissioning
- Author and maintain safety procedures, SOPs, and risk assessments for all R&D processes
- Conduct hazard assessments (Haz-ops, JHAs, risk assessments) before equipment and process operation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements; support regulatory inspections
