Design Release Engineer, Wire Harness
About this role
Harbinger seeks an Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Design Engineer to develop and validate wiring harnesses and electrical systems for next-generation electric vehicles. You'll design complex 3D harness layouts, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across teams to integrate EDS components into advanced EV platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and develop vehicle wiring harnesses, connectors, and distribution systems meeting requirements and industry standards
- Create 2D/3D EDS designs using CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent CAD software
- Develop wiring schematics, routing layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Lead validation and testing of electrical systems including DV/PV testing and troubleshooting
- Perform tolerance analysis, routing feasibility studies, and coordinate virtual/physical mockups
- Interface with suppliers and support manufacturing teams on component delivery and field issue resolution
