About this role
Harmattan AI seeks an experienced Special Operations business developer with deep SOF community credibility to drive growth across USSOCOM. The role involves identifying and capturing defense opportunities by building trusted relationships with operators and acquisition professionals, translating operational needs into funded programs.
What you'll do
- Identify and capture opportunities across USSOCOM, Component Commands, and rapid acquisition organizations
- Develop and execute account strategies to convert operational interest into funded programs
- Build and maintain pipeline through proactive customer engagement and competitive intelligence
- Own opportunities from initial engagement through contract award, including product demos and evaluations
- Maintain disciplined CRM pipeline management with accurate forecasting and executive reporting
- Represent Harmattan at SOF Week, industry days, and government meetings; serve as customer voice internally

- Special Operations Forces acquisition and business development experience
- DoD procurement pathways (OTAs, SBIRs, BAAs, CRADAs, prototype programs)
- Working knowledge of autonomous systems, UAS, robotics, AI, or sensing technologies
- Account strategy development and opportunity capture planning
- CRM pipeline management and sales forecasting
- Stakeholder relationship management at senior military levels
- Technical communication to operators and decision-makers
- Independent execution and ownership
