Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

H Company seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to implement autonomous AI agents for customers, integrating them with existing systems and gathering field insights to shape product development. You'll work directly with clients to identify high-impact automation opportunities, build production-grade solutions, and iterate rapidly based on real-world feedback.

What you'll do

• Identify and prioritize customers' most impactful multi-step tasks for automation
• Integrate AI agents with customer databases, APIs, and internal tools
• Rapidly prototype and iterate solutions with tight customer feedback loops
• Build and maintain scalable, production-grade services and APIs
• Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams on roadmap alignment
• Travel on-site for customer deployments and engagements as needed

What they're looking for

• 3+ years professional software engineering experience
• AI/ML systems and LLM integration
• Backend languages (Python, Go, Node.js, Java)
• Frontend frameworks (React, Vue)
• Production systems architecture and deployment
• Third-party API and database integration
• Problem-solving in ambiguous, customer-facing contexts
• Written and verbal communication
