Powertrain Responsible Engineer

Hermeus seeks a Powertrain Responsible Engineer to design and oversee mechanical power generation and transmission systems for hypersonic aircraft, including gearboxes, generators, motors, and turbomachinery. What you'll do

• Own mechanical components and assemblies for power generation and transmission in hypersonic vehicles
• Design and develop gearboxes, generators, motors, and turbomachinery systems
• Conduct thermal analysis and mechanical performance evaluations
• Communicate technical requirements clearly in a rapidly evolving environment
• Drive iterative hardware development and prototyping cycles
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate powertrain systems into hypersonic platforms
